Is it true?

Guys, do you think that Remixing or Remaking songs, tracks, etc. improves your producing skills??

Tell me if it's true or not... :P

I personally think it does. It helps you get to know certain techniques and melodies so you can create your own :)

That's just my opinion,I don't know if it's the same for you :)

It's actually same for me... :)

Yes, depending on how you do it. Borrowing influence from things you've heard in the past is normally the best way to go about it.

Thanks for the opinion! :D

It's certainly true if you're trying new things and gaining fresh experience as you remix or remake a preexisting work. But if you just do what you've always done, and stick to your comfort zone, you're not really doing much to improve upon your production ability.

Simply put, it should. Remixes and remakes deserve an artist's best effort, no less so than original works, which should ultimately push one's musical boundaries.

I'd note that. :D Thanks!
